A cultivar name can cover more than one cut, producer or chemical profile. Type labels and personal experiences help describe the language around a name; they are not reliable predictions of effects.
Where the information comes from
Profile summaries and lineage notes use the sources listed on each page. Conflicting origin stories are marked as reported or disputed. We don’t manufacture lineage, ratings or measurements to fill a gap.
The historical lab notes
The optional charts summarize the open dataset accompanying Smith, Vergara, Keegan and Jikomes (2022), The phytochemical diversity of commercial Cannabis in the United States. The study includes samples collected between December 2013 and January 2021. This library’s research core includes names with at least 20 recorded samples and five usable terpene observations, with selected additional editorial profiles.
Each chart uses measured concentrations in percent by mass. Missing observations remain missing. Median is the middle measured value; the middle 80% interval runs from the 10th to the 90th percentile. These values describe the study samples, not every plant carrying the name. Total THC is a calculated measure including THCA’s contribution, not THCA alone.
Reported traits and yearly editions
Flavor and experience labels are attributed descriptions, not measured percentages or clinical outcomes. The 2026 featured collection is an editorial selection. It is not a sales chart, popularity ranking, or claim that these were released in 2026. Earlier annual rankings will not be invented.
Growing with care
New profiles and corrections can be added as useful evidence becomes available. Common aliases are searchable. Relevant terms link to the glossary and guides without turning every sentence into links.
Reported traits & data credits
